Each month, IIBA ® runs several webinars on a variety of topics (see below). We want to give you an opportunity to increase your knowledge and develop your BA skills by virtually attending interesting and relevant presentations about the business analysis profession. All webinars are archived, and can be viewed with audio a few days after the event.

Every quarter at either 10 a.m. ET, or 8 p.m. ET (UTC/GMT -4 hours) IIBA President and CEO Kathleen Barret will discuss current IIBA activities. Being a BA – Your Career, with Laura Brandenburg

Laura is the author of the eBook How to Start a BA Career and an active blogger at Bridging-the-Gap.com . She is the IIBA Career Center Product Manager, and a practicing BA consultant. This program will alternate between noon and 8 p.m. Eastern time (GMT-4) on the second Tuesday of each month.

Each program in the Being a BA series gives IIBA members a chance to ask experts for advice on topics such as technical excellence, the BA career, managing BAs, and more. These programs are call in shows, with an hour to talk with an expert in his or her specialty.

This month, our author is Michael Hugos, IIBA Board of Directors. Michael Hugos has authored many books on business analysis, including Business Agility: Sustainable Prosperity in a Relentlessly Competitive World and Essentials of Supply Chain Management.


Michael Hugos is a CIO at Large and Agility Mentor at Center for Systems Innovation [c4si]. his experience includes Chief Information Officer at Network Services Co., Practice Director at Covansys, and Senior Consultant at Consulting Engagements. He earned his B.Sc in Urban Planning and Design from the University of Cincinnati, and his MBA from the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. He is a columnist for ComputerWorld, and a blogger for CIO magazine. He specialties include bold and resourceful use of people, process and technology to deliver business agility and competitive success in a timely and decisive manner - the agile "30-Day Blitz"

Tom is the Chief Architect of IIBA, and a very experienced BA. Over the last 25 years he has worked at all organizational levels and in various roles including project business analysis, strategic work, managing teams of BAs and more. This program will alternate between noon and 8 p.m. Eastern time (GMT-4) on the last Tuesday of each month.

Certification of Competency in Business AnalysisTM (CCBATM) Call in Webinar
